Michalis Katsimboulas is a Veterinary Surgeon and Doctor of the School of Medicine of the National & Kapodistrian University of Athens.
His position as Researcher Grade B – Associate Professor at BRFAA (Biomedical Research Foundation of the Academy of Athens) has provided him with many years of experience in Translational and Preclinical Surgical Research.  
His life's work is to bridge veterinary science with modern medical research, contributing to the development and evaluation of innovative surgical and regenerative techniques.

His fields of specialization include the following:

· Design & Implementation of Research Protocols
 
He has participated as principal or collaborating researcher in European and international funded research programs, including Horizon 2020 and Marie Curie ITN programs. His work has been presented at international conferences and published in reputable international scientific journals.

His research activity focuses on translating basic research into clinical practice, with emphasis on safety, ethics and the methodological rigor of preclinical studies.

He actively participates in teaching undergraduate and postgraduate courses at the Athens School of Medicine, as well as in the organization and implementation of educational seminars in experimental surgery, ultrasound and regenerative medicine. His goal is the transmission of scientific knowledge and practical skills to young researchers and healthcare professionals.

Dr. Michalis Katsimboulas has served as Scientific Director and Program Director of professional seminars in the field of advanced veterinary and translational surgery. The seminars were implemented in multiple cycles and focused on advanced diagnostic and surgical techniques for veterinary professionals.
His teaching experience at undergraduate and postgraduate level is extensive, spanning programs in Medicine, Biomedicine and Engineering, with emphasis on translational surgery, preclinical animal models,
regenerative medicine, biomechanics and interdisciplinary biomedical research.
